FICCI FLO, Pune known for its great initiatives on Women Empowerment achieved yet another milestone in empowering women hygienically. Hon'ble Vandana Chavan, Member of Parliament, was the Chief Guest for the distribution of Hygiene Kits to the Tribal Girls from Pune and most parts of Maharashtra. The Hygiene Kits have been donated by " Days For Girls" ( DFG ) , a Canadian Organisation, totalling to 400 kits. These Hygiene Kits , besides empowering women hygienically are also environment friendly and have a wash and wear guarantee of three years.This project was jointly implemented by Ficci Flo, Pune, Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment and the Tribal Department, Maharashtra. Project Chairperson Usha Poonawalla summarised the function with practical training on the usage of these hygiene kits to the Tribal Girls.

Ficci Flo, Pune inaugurated the “Self Help Group Stall” at R City Mall, Mumbai on the 9th of June, 2018. This was a historical event where Ficci Flo, Pune went that extra mile to help in displaying and exhibiting the products/produce of the Self Help Groups (SHG). This was a dream come true for these women who otherwise do not get such opportunities to earn the livelihood that they deserve at such vantage points. Ms Chanda Runwal, Social Entrepreneur, inaugurated this stall in the presence of Ms Vinita Bimbhet, Past National Chairperson Ficci Flo , Ms Sangeeta Lalwani, Chairperson, Ficci Flo, Pune, Ms Monica, Chairperson, Ficci Flo Mumbai, Mr Tripathi from Bridgestone, our sponsor, Ms R. Vimala, IAS and CEO from Mah State Rural Livelihoods Mission ( MSRLM ) , and members of Ficci Flo, Pune who attended in large numbers. Bridgestone gave us the much required financial strength to undertake such a mammoth task of empowering the women from the SHGs financially and economically. Ms Usha Poonawalla, Swayam Head , conducted the inauguration event.

FICCI FLO, Pune Chapter, headed by its Chairperson, Mrs Sangeeta Lalwani, signed an MOU with Hey DeeDee in the presence of Manisha Koirala, renowned actress and cancer crusader, on 2nd of May, 2018. FICCI FLO, Pune under its SWAYAM vertical has achieved yet another milestone in empowering women economically and financially in association with Hey DeeDee, which is an all women logistics firm providing solution to parcel delivery, headed by its MD and CEO Mrs Revathi Roy. SWAYAM, is the back bone of FICCI FLO and has proven once again by encouraging and empowering 100 girls to take up the challenge as women riders for the last mile delivery.
